GENERAL INFORMATION Generating a Barcode - What is Needed: • Select type of code, such as Code 39. • Indicate characters to encode. • Choose size (under 3 / 8 " height not recommended). • For consecutive or variable barcodes, please supply data file. Ask for pricing. Expert Label Tips • Static barcodes are no additional charge. If the barcode is a different color than the rest of the imprint, additional ink charge applies. • Need a variable barcode? Please ask for pricing. • Black or dark inks are recommended. • White stock is highly recommended. Clear stock may be used depending on the color of the application surface. • Red Fluorescent, Gold, Silver, White EDP and Laser stocks are not recommended, due to possible scanning problems. A check digit is the last number in barcodes EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E. It is determined by all the preceding digits in the barcode. The check digit cannot be changed on its own. The numbers before it have to be changed first.
